    Belle and Sebastian The Belle & Sebastian LP cover formula is an easy one.  One photograph of an indie-looking girl, make the photo one color tone, add band name (in this case I went with the older sans ampersand version), and choose a track as the album title. The original photo is here.

    The Smiths I’ve taken to designing album covers for non-existent records by real bands.  The Smiths style is pretty easy to replicate.  And this Elliott Erwitt photo was ready-made for a The Smiths record.
