Rocket Science Avalon, 1996
Even though they were only around for a short time, Rocket Science was always one of my favorites of the mid-nineties, Texas is the Reason-inspired bands. They released two 7”s, changed their name to Gravity Wins Again, and then they were gone. I remember their drummer, Matt Horutz, was previously in the pop-punk band True Zero, and their singer, John Herguth, is currently one-half of Atlantic/Pacific. Coincidentally, the other half is Garrett Klahn, of Texas is the Reason. I don’t know what everyone else from the band does now, but I really wish these guys had put out a full length.
